My Thursday afternoon photo shoot cancelled, and, although I could have used the time to do laundry or clean my bedroom or work on a dozen other projects, I decided to take advantage of the weather and take Caroline...and my camera...on a leaf hunt. I rarely post photos that I haven't edited or cropped in some way, but I'm breaking my own rule to share these today because I am hopelessly behind in every aspect of my life and because her eyes and her smile and these days that she's still so small are such a treat.
We brought the pup because it was such a nice day, and nice days are a rare commodity around here this fall. I should get bonus points for taking these photos with his leash around my foot. Note to self...cameras, preschoolers and antsy dogs do not mix. For a while, Caroline insisted on trying her hand at walking the dog. Let's just say that my two babies have minds of their own.
And then my camera and I promised chocolate for a little of this...
Which was put on hold when an errant leaf caught her eye...
Then she spied the leaves in the creek...
How I managed to stick my head through the fence and snap this one before she moved is beyond me...
She's sassy, she's sweet, she's sensitive, she's savvy, she's smart...
...and she's HILARIOUS.
The next two photos are among a few I snapped while she was singing a Hannah Montana song. I have GOT to get this on video, because if you think the stills are cute...

Those pictures are amazing! The bridge looks great too. (it was just stained by a couple of BM's) Saved us a bunch of money.

Untouched? Wow---you are amazing.. these are GREAT pictures. I love the one of her w/ her hand on her chin! And that bow in her hair - I'm off to look for that ribbon & make me one!
