I am beeeeeehind. It's been a busy, busy, busy month. I'd take a picture of my August calendar, but I'm just too tired. Never fear. I have plenty of other photos. Photos from vacation. Photos of our North Carolina visit with China sisters. Band Camp photos. Band Camp picnic photos. Photos from Jon's company picnic. Photos of a very big event in our lives. Photos from our last day of summer break. Photos from the first day of school. Photos from my flurry of recent photo sessions. And more. So now you know why I'm tired.
And when you're that far behind, it's hard to know where to begin. Because, dude, I have laundry from every one of those events, too. Even a few stragglers from vacation. And piles and piles 'o stuff that needs my attention. Phone calls. Errands. Want a good laugh? I never sent out my Christmas cards, so I wrote a Christmas in July letter to go with the photos I'd already printed. Still sitting on my counter because all my addresses are buried on a back-up disk from my old laptop. Ugh.
Sooooo....I have most of August behind me...in many ways, a good thing...I think we had a total of one day on the calendar with nothing scheduled. I'm working my way through the mourning process of summer being over. And I'm trying desperately to organize a work schedule for myself, revamp our household responsibilities management (a nice way to say I'm sick of no one doing their chores) and fix something for dinner besides frozen pizza. And, yes, do the laundry. I dare say, I might even blog a little here and there.

Oh my friend. You make me so tired. And I thought I was tired already. I look forward to snippets of life in your house from the summer, but I also totally understand being buried under a pile of "life"...
